WE ARE A COVID SECURE BUSINESS

The health and safety of our staff, clients and visitors is our top priority. Skene Business Centres therefore comply with government guidance on managing the risk of infection from COVID-19. Accordingly, we have updated our risk assessment and will continue to review it on a regular basis. We understand that for many of our clients, access to their office/workspace is essential so please find below some of the measures we have introduced to maintain a safe environment.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

  • Clear signage and guidance is displayed to highlight that everyone is required to keep a 2 metre distance from others.
  • We support and provide guidance to clients to adhere to the 2 metre rule in their own offices.
  • Where possible, one way systems have been introduced, and passing places have been marked by tape.
  • Furniture has been removed to accommodate the 2 metre rule in communal spaces, waiting areas and meeting rooms.
  • A one in and one out system has been adopted by clients for all face-to-face appointments, and access is only granted for pre-booked appointments.
  • A one person only rule is enforced in all kitchen and toilet facilities.
  • Screens have been installed at our reception areas.
  • None of our buildings have lifts.
  • The volume and traffic of people within our buildings is relatively low.

CLEANING, HYGIENE & HANDWASHING

  • Our cleaners have been issued with enhanced cleaning guidelines, products and PPE.
  • Reception staff regularly conduct disinfecting of high touch points.
  • We have our own fogging machine with communal and higher traffic areas receiving an anti-viral disinfectant fog weekly. We also conduct fogging for client offices on request.
  • Toilets with handwashing facilities are available in all sections or floors of our buildings.
  • Hand sanitising stations are installed at all entry/exit doors to the buildings with additional stations in high traffic areas.
  • Cleaning products and disposable paper towels are provided in all shared spaces such as kitchens and toilets.
  • Instructions on cleaning before and after use are displayed alongside a handwashing reminder.

ADDITIONAL POINTS & MEASURES

  • Face coverings are mandatory in all communal areas.
  • We do not have ventilation systems but windows in all offices can be opened for a clean air supply and heating is controlled in the individual office.
  • Building guidelines have been issued to clients since May 2020, and updates sent when necessary.
  • We offer free, on-site car parking for our clients and have increased the number of available bike racks.
  • Our annual survey has recently been carried out and we are pleased to confirm that we have received only positive feedback regarding our COVID-19 infection protection control measures and actions, with no concerns noted from our clients.
