We offer three meeting rooms at our Queen’s Gardens centre. Available in a variety of configurations: boardroom-, u-shaped, and theatre-style layouts for product launches and small events. Our meeting rooms can be hired in half-hourly increments. 

 

For one-to-one or one-to-few meetings, an office at Queen’s Gardens, available in hour increments and subject to availability, can provide a professional arrangement for ad hoc, or regular, consultancy, counselling, interviews, and mediation.


The Mackenzie Room

From £38 +VAT per hour


This stunning room boasts original Victorian features such as a fireplace and over mantel, decorative cornicing and ceiling features, chandelier and a large, east-facing, bay window which affords a view of the Queen’s Gardens garden and abundant natural light and windows that open to provide fresh air. These features create a grand impression whatever the occasion for bringing people together.

The Ellis Room

From £32 +VAT per hour 


This room, to the rear of the building, has big-sky views of the gardens and apartments behind. It’s pared-back features, and minimal decoration lend a modern feel to the room and offers a blank canvas for a range of meeting options.


The Wilson Room

From £27 +VAT per hour


This internal room is tastefully decorated and provides a more private, unassuming option for meetings that may require privacy or discretion. For meetings that may require video and a cinema-like, theatre-style experience this is an ideal space as there is no light pollution at all.

    Our 7 Queen’s Gardens Business Centre offers meeting rooms to internal and external clients, and is located in a prime location in the west end with free, on-site car parking.

    Our impressive Boardroom - The Mackenzie Room - seats up to 16 people and has a large 75” TV for presenting with ClickShare.


    Our ground floor meeting room - The Ellis Room, and lower ground meeting room - The Wilson Room - offers seating for up to 8 people each with a large 65” TV for presenting.


    In addition, we also offer the following rooms for an hourly rental at 7 Queen’s Gardens:


    • Our Counselling Room offers a comfortable space for therapists to meet their clients and is popular for ad-hoc bookings.


    • An Unoccupied Office provides an uninterrupted working space for hot-desking or when a smaller meeting table would be more suitable for interviews or one on one meetings.

  • When would I have access?

    Access for meeting room bookings is during our reception hours: Monday to Friday between 9.00am – 5.00pm.

  • How long can I book meeting rooms for?

    The minimum booking is for 30 minutes but the meeting room can be booked for up to 8 hours. We are also pleased to accept bookings for more than one day.

  • Can refreshments and lunches be provided?

    Tea, coffee and biscuits can be set up at a client’s request.  Lunch orders can be provided, when booked in advance, and are supplied by a neighbouring café.

  • Are we able to access the internet?

    The rooms are set up with free wi-fi for easy access to the internet.

  • Can we use videoconferencing?

    Our Boardroom at 7 Queen’s Gardens has a large 75” TV, which is equipped with a camera for connecting to your laptop for video conferencing.

  • What are the booking rates?

    The rate will depend on the room and the length of the booking. We offer discounts for half and full days or if booking for more than one day.  Please contact us directly for current rates and availability.

  • Do you offer car parking?

    We have free on-site car parking at 7 Queen's Gardens for meeting bookings.

  • Do you provide any other services?

    Our Serviced Offices are dedicated rooms, which are perfect for desk-based clients or the rooms can be converted to suit a therapy or treatment room client.  We also offer a Virtual Office service, which provides an ideal and cost-effective solution for clients who want to establish an office presence with a professional reception service and mailing address at short notice, but without having to rent an actual office.  

  • What is the history of Skene Business Centres?

    Skene Business Centres were established at 23 Rubislaw Den North in 1984 by Charles P. Skene CBE.


    The business centres expanded with the opening of 96 Rosemount Viaduct in the 1990s within the same building as Skene House Rosemount.


    7 Queen’s Gardens used to be the Osbourne Hotel in the 1960s but was converted into a family home, a photographic studio for Studio Morgan and corporate offices in the 1970s, and became a dedicated business centre in the 1990s.  We expanded into 8 Queen’s Gardens in 2016 and opened 2 Queen’s Gardens in 2018 and added 3 Queen's Gardens to our portfolio in 2023.


    Skene Business Centres are part of The Skene Group, which also comprises Skene House and Inchmarlo Retirement Village.
