Charles P Skene CBE introduced the concept of serviced offices to Aberdeen following a visit to the States back in 1984, by offering surplus office space in his own company Head Office at 23 Rubislaw Den North.

  • Due to the interest in and popularity of the office offering, he refurbished two further properties at 7 Queen’s Gardens, the location of his photographic business at the time, Studio Morgan, and at Skene House Rosemount where there was demand from business travellers for a more sophisticated offering than the usual photocopier offered in many traditional hotels at the time.

In fact, at one time or another, the Skene Group’s Head Office has operated out of each of the current Skene Business Centre locations and so we know the value of flexibility to upsize, downsize and adapt to the demands of doing business in a dynamic marketplace.

We also understand the value of keeping overheads to a minimum, especially when starting a new venture or establishing a regional office and being able to act quickly to take advantage of business opportunities.

Thus, Skene Business Centres offers a compelling, realistic, and established option for businesses setting up in Aberdeen. Being a local, family-owned and -run business means that we are personally invested in helping your business succeed since we too are dependent on the vibrancy of Aberdeen’s economy.

The fact we have been operating for four decades should also give peace of mind that we are an established business, committed to Aberdeen and, as such, will be as flexible and responsive to our clients’ needs as we need to be our own.
